The Victory of Light invites us to rethink the meaning of war beyond the battlefield. War is not only missiles and bombs—it’s also social conflict, economic battles, struggles of ego, and most deeply, war against oneself.
War arises when power is sought, when validation is demanded, when we fail to recognize our own value. We can wage battles against those we love by imposing our views, often fueling unnecessary conflicts. Yet, some battles are necessary—confrontations that teach and transform.
Having left the army, I carry the conviction to lay down all wars except one: the fight within. My battle is no longer about proving, convincing, or being right. It is a quest for inner peace and release.
As Sun Tzu said, “The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”
In this spirit, The Victory of Light is a meditation on self-awareness and choosing peace over conflict.
Socrates urged, “Know thyself”, and Spinoza added, “Know your enemy.”
I begin to see that my greatest enemy is myself. This painting reflects the journey inward—exploring my fears, egos, and shadows with compassion instead of self-judgment.
The light emerges not from ignoring darkness, but by facing it, understanding it, and ultimately transcending it. This work celebrates the victory of consciousness, awakening, and the power of inner harmony in a world too often defined by division and strife.
